Boogie

Boogie

Boogie explores the challenges of vacuum-bending plywood. The table consists of four identical halves that come together to make two symmetrical forms. Boogie’s design is versatile; it can be placed against a wall or freestanding.
The exterior venner is maple and the interior veneer is cherry to draw the eye inward. This is emphasized by the chamfered edges. Both forms are held together by cherry dowels with maple splines that run parallel to the edge. The legs are a curly cherry’s sap wood to exhibit the beauty of a wood part that is usually dismissed.
